Saturday

I am supposed to be writing a paper for my school and society class, but obviously I am not.

I put in my two weeks notice at work today. I feel kinda of bad about it since I've only been working there (Kohl's) for about two and a half weeks. I knew when they hired me that I would only be working there until school is over, but I didn't tell them that since they probably wouldn't hire me. The manager I told was surprised, but she was nice about it. I'm already on the schedule for next week, but I wonder if they'll even bother scheduling me for the week after that. Or maybe they'll be a bit unhappy with me and decide to not give me any hours. I am really beginning to enjoy working there and I like the people I work with, so I'm kinda sad to go. I don't even mind having to be there at 6am. The secret is to have my coffee machine set to come on in the morning so I can start downing the caffeine as soon as I hop out of bed. At least will have been able to take home several paychecks. And I did enjoy using the employee discount when I went on a major shopping spree at a Kohl's in Mesa last weekend.

Ugh, there is another music festival going on in the quad in front of my dorm. Yesterday, it was okay. Some of the bands were good. But today has apparently been saved for the crappy bands. It's a bunch of boys screaming into the microphones and jamming on their guitars. So loud. I closed my windows to try and drown out the noise some, but now my room is getting so hot and stuffy. They still have the heat up full blast and I can't turn it off. And now a mariachi band has started playing. I like mariachi music. But on a Saturday afternoon when I am trying to do homework, it's just not the right time for it.

4 More Weeks

Well, I've officially switched over to Germany mode. What, I still have four weeks of school left? I still have a bajillioin more major projects to complete? No way! I thought I was all done. Yep, that's about how the conversation went this morning in my head when I realized I have a lot more school left than I thought. So I am going to try to push and get everything done with as soon as possible, that way I can focus on this summer and all the laziness I have planned. I'll try and save the Germany planning for later.

I have a picture from Lynsey's b-day, but I can't get it do load without looking blue. So just imagine us all looking fabulously tan instead of blue. Front: Holly, Lyns, Me, Theresa; Back: Myra, Schmidt, Jimmy.

Finally Time To Scrapbook!

I actually had some time to scrapbook today. This is an 8.5x11 piece of white cardstock, turned horizontally. It's hard to see it on here. I'm sure there is some magical scanning/editing thing I could do to make it show better, but I'm not that technilogically inclined.

I wasn't able to go running this morning because of the rain and snow and it was too early for the workout room in my dorm to be open, so I had to forgo excercise all together. I did get on the eliptical machine when I got home from work, so the day isn't a total bust. I'll probably head back down to the workout room later tonight and try to punch out another 20 minutes at least. All of my classes today have been cancelled due to a big teacher conference, so aside from working earlier this morning, I don't have much to do. I worked on my quilt some. My goal is to quilt one square a day, otherwise I'll never get that thing finished. I should probably be doing homework, or studying for my upcoming quantum physics test, but I'd rather scrapbook!
